Artist Bio:
namiyoshikawa is a Tokyo-born, Kyoto-based DJ and artist. Her work blends ambient minimalism, left-field club music and hauntological textures, shaped by time in London and travels across Asia, Europe and the US. Drawing on studies in sociology and aesthetics, plus a background in queer costume design, she creates intimate mixes built from piano works, archival vinyl and subtle, minimal rhythms.
namiyoshikawa は東京に生まれ、ロンドンでの生活を経て京都を拠点に活動する DJ／アーティスト。アンビエントからオルタナティブ・クラブ、そしてハウントロジカルな残響までを行き来し、静と躍動のあいだで揺らめく独自のサウンドを紡いでいる。
アジアと欧米を往来する旅の中で、都市の空気、幼い頃の記憶、そして感情の微細なレイヤーが重なる瞬間をすくい上げ、大学で学んだ社会学・美学／美術史の視座と、クィアのドレスデザインに携わった経験から生まれる身体知を加えてミックスへと変換する。ピアノ作品やアーカイヴ・ヴァイナル、控えめでミニマルなリズムが立ち上げる音像は、“内面の物語”を静かに呼び起こす深い没入を生み出す。
DJ ミックスにとどまらず、ドローイングや衣装制作といった造形的アプローチも行い、音・身体・視覚が交差する “複層的な世界観” を提示している。
